CONSTELLATION, from CHAPARONE, our tender, flying the Hood main we used in virtually every race.

Missing from the "official" crew photo is Don Wakeman*, the port side tailer, who was up the mast, doing maintenence, when the previous picture was shot. Look at the crew shot again. It was done on the spur of the moment, to promote some terrible sailing shoes (note how white they all are) and none of us were being serious (note fists under biceps & snarky looks). Mrs. Ridder* thought it was the best shot of her husband, so it survives as the '0fficial' picture.

Olin's brother Rod, whom Olin called "Brother," worked on our deck layout and joined the sailing crew midway through the summer.
Dunny* was the navigator, until Rod Stephens was brought aboard.
